Workshop - Multiscale numerical methods for differential equations
I shall survey a number of recent results that show how formal series techniques, originally introduced to analyze numerical integrators, may be used to perform a number of tasks to study dynamical systems. These tasks include the computation of normal forms, averaged systems, conserved quantities, etc.
