This lecture will be devoted to proofs of sharp interpolation inequalities based on nonlinear flows and some applications. Nonlinear regimes are characterized by faster rates of convergence than asymptotic regimes which involve eigenvalues of properly linearized problems. The method also provides new spectral estimates for Schrôdinger operators in bounded domains and on compact manifolds.
